FlexJobs is the website to find jobs you can do remotely, comfortably from home, or wherever you like.

There is an enormous amount of jobs on FlexJobs, both part-time and full-time, so you might want to adjust your search filters before diving in.
One of the useful search filters is the Remote Work Level filter. It will help you to pinpoint your search for the jobs you can do from home.

Types of jobs that might interest you

Data Entry Jobs

I got over 400 results searching data entry jobs on Flexjobs, so it is a good idea to filter the results on the area you are looking for, the schedule (part-time/full-time), and your remote working preferences.

The range is very wide, from medical data entry clerk to order processing, to general administrative assistants.

At the moment this post was written, they offered over 200 proofreading related jobs, although a lot of them are full-time.
Don’t forget to adjust the filter so you can find freelance or part-time gigs.

Some of the jobs offered may be just about reviewing, editing, and adjusting written work before it gets published. Other jobs require some writing of your own or even supervising and supporting other writers.

If you love reading but are in doubt about your proofreading skills, then a great way to find out more about proofreading is the 76-minute completely free workshop that Caitlin gives.

It also makes sense to get yourself a good spelling and grammar checker that will find the errors that may escape your keen eye while proofreading.
I sincerely recommend Grammarly. It helps me spot a lot of mistakes I make while writing my blog posts.

If you are looking for a diverse proofreader related side job, go over to FlexJobs!
