Basically, Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is a crowdsourcing marketplace for microtasks, or Human Intelligence Tasks (HIT), as they call it.

These tasks are offered by ‘requesters’ and appear on your dashboard, where you can review the details and select them.
Some tasks can be started straight away, some will require a qualification.

What is the job description?

Simply said, you will have to perform small tasks, like enter or validate data. A lot of this data is training data for Artificial Intelligence.
For example, say an AI needs to learn to identify cats. Your tasks may be to evaluate images and draw boxes around cats in this picture.

Next to identifying objects in photographs, there are a lot of other jobs, like data de-duplication, transcribing audio recordings, or research data details.

What are the requirements to join?

Since these tasks are fairly easy and straightforward, you do not need special skills, experience, or degree. The jobs tend to be pretty monotonous and repetitive but do require a human to perform them.
A lot of repetitive jobs are often done by Artificial Intelligence, but even nowadays, some jobs are done better by humans.

The tasks you are offered when you’re just starting will be a little more limited, but as you start to complete more and more, you will be offered many more tasks to complete.

What are some awesome features?

Microtasks are optimized to complete in a small amount of time. So you can find tasks you could perform while commuting or waiting until your Latte is ready.
If you have a little more spare time, as a student, a retiree, or if you are in between jobs, this is a great opportunity to make some money on the side!

How much money can you make?

Since the microtasks are very diverse and the height of the reward accordingly, it is difficult to say.
Does this make you rich?
No. probably not, but the jobs are so easy that they are perfect to fit in some lost moments.

Mike from sidehustlenation.com reported that he was able to get $150 to $300 a week, which, after six years, made him an extra of $50.000.

Remember to accept lower-paying jobs. They will eventually unlock the higher-paying ones.

How do they pay?

Amazon pays you with Amazon gift cards or bank deposits.

How do you register

First, you will need an Amazon account.
After that, register yourself as a worker on Amazon and complete your profile.
